3.6 How Does It Look?
After clicking "Publish Post," you should have seen a "publishing" screen, followed by a success notification that looks like this.
Note: Errors occur occasionally during the publishing phase. When this happens, you will need to use the back button on your browser to republish. Sometimes you will lose the content that you just entered, so it is a good idea to copy your blog posts before clicking the Publish Post button. To do so, select all of the text in the content box and choose Edit>Copy (or Ctrl+C) from the browser menu. If you discover that your content has been lost, you can then paste (Edit>Paste or Ctrl+V) rather than retyping it all.
From the success notification screen, please click "(in a new window)," which will open your blog. How does it look? How does it feel to now be among the ranks of the bloggers? You're so cutting edge.
Assuming that you selected the Minima template, you will notice that you have, in the right column, a Links section. On the next page we will learn how to turn that into a customized blogroll. You will also notice that Blogger has created an archive and a list of Previous Posts.
Your first post should be dated (at the top) and time-stamped (at the bottom). You'll also notice underneath your post a Comments link that allows readers to leave feedback.
