3.2 Creating an Account
Because lesson 3 is a how-to, each page will, whenever possible, be delivered in the form of step-by-step instructions.

Begin by going to Blogger.com.

Click the large, orange, "Create Your Blog Now" arrow.

Fill out the "Create an Account" form.
- Click the "Continue" arrow.
A few things to know about the "Create an Account" form:

Your User Name must be unique. In other words, you can only use the name "johndoe" if there isn't already another "johndoe" in the Blogger database. It might take a few tries for you to find an appropriate and unique user name. Write it down. You will use this name to log into Blogger in the future.

Think of the Display Name as your signature. Each of your posts will be signed by this name. The Display Name should be appropriate for the tone of your blog — "Dr. Doe" for a class blog, "John" for a personal blog, "Mystery Man" for an anonymous blog. The Display Name need not be unique.
