Practice Activity—Fonts

Go to the main Fonts folder on your computer. On my machine, I open My Computer, then my C drive—Local Disk (C:)—, then my operating system folder. On my machine it is WINNT. Yours might be Win98, etc. Inside of this will be a Fonts folder. Another way of finding your fonts folder is to choose Start/Search/For Files or Folders and search for the folder named Fonts. A number of fonts folders may appear. Any of them that have a number of files in them will do for this practice activity. Now double click on one of the files. What appears to be a text file should pop up in a font management application. It will look like the example below.

Once you have opened this font file, study it, and then fill out the form on the next page.
