Graduate AssistantThis module addresses professional development needs to prepare faculty members to use videoconferencing technologies as a tool to communicate and collaborate with individuals and groups at distant sites. The module covers two main areas: setup and instructional/classroom applications. Firstly, the module provides users with an engaging interface in order to develop a conceptual understanding of how videoconferencing software such as NetMeeting can be used to link different computers. It also covers the various features available in most videoconferencing packages such as shared whiteboard, chat, audio, and video. Finally, the module contains instructional ideas for using the videoconferencing technology to support teaching and learning.
