Technology at Tennessee: Putting Good Practice in its Place
launch moduleJennifer Gramling
Instructional Technology, Curriculum and Evaluation; UT KnoxvilleThis module is designed to provide faculty members, teaching staff, instructors and GTAs in the University of Tennessee system with an understanding of the "Seven Principles for Good Practice in Undergraduate Education" (Chickering and Gamson, 1987). The module addresses how each principle can be put into practice using technology in the curriculum. As technology becomes increasingly prevalent in higher education, instructional resource professionals are challenged to integrate a variety of instructional technology resources into their content areas while maintaining high standards for teaching and learning. This module, which can be accessed online at the learner's convenience, will help faculty, staff and GTAs remember the seven principles of good practice in undergraduate education. It will allow them to explore the possibilities technology has to offer and to reflect on their own teaching practices.
