Project SET (Sharing Educational Technology)

Implemented in 2002, Project SET (Sharing Educational Technology) was the first initiative of the ETC. Project SET awarded small grants to faculty, graduate students, and instructional resource professionals to develop web-based instructional modules on topics to assist faculty to integrate technology into their teaching practice. These modules are an open resource available to anyone with internet access.

For Project SET, a module is defined as a learning resource that covers a discrete topic or series of closely related topics that form a self-contained learning unit. The module must be structured so that users can progress through the instruction in a self-directed manner. A module states its purpose and contains an introduction, the instructional content necessary to achieve the objective, and at least one self-assessment or practice activity.
