Second evaluation completed

April 30th, 2007

A statistics class at University of Nebraska evaluated the CRD_single DAWG module.

They report spending 1.1 hours on the steps, versus 2.0 for the Tennessee class.  Since Nebraska evaluation was done later in the semester, they may have greater background knowledge.

Nebraska had 73% preference for the 17 page module format, almost identical to Tennessee’s 74%.  Many comments refer to reducing page length, but most preferred longer pages to keep the number of steps lower.

Evaluation of each step/page again revealed problems with Step 8 (only 56% rated this “Instructions are clear”), and Step 2 had 65% “clear” ratings.

Many new suggestions were made, showing the value of our large evaluation sample to get a variety of opinions and viewpoints.

Arnold’s first evaluation

January 23rd, 2007

Arnold has run a class through an initial survey and data will be tabulated for the RITE project. The feedback from students on the CRD module in DAWG is very encouraging with some positive criticisms as well.

January progress

Auge has self-tested the CRD module and clarified some of the descriptions.

Saxton has contacted instructors to identify statistics classes that will evaluate the module.

See what is being tested at CRD_Single.

I’m excited!

December 8th, 2006

I’m not exactly what my task will be in this project but I look forward to working with Arnold and Bob. We will try to make this project work as we collect evaluation data from the DAWG modules.
