Based on the data we gathered this spring, I would recommend targeting learners with some proficiency in Spanish, such as second-year and above. The ideal scenario would be to purchase a “gamelike” packet that students could play and learn the language at the same time. Anything other than this would be academic. If it is perceived as academic, student reactions may continue follow the pattern found in this project, which is not necessarily negative. I had hoped that the time invested into task writing and implementation would have led to more satisfying results.
